What do you stand to win? Our top ten films in the international competition will be posted to the New Scientist website, and our star-spangled panel of judges will select a winner and a runner-up. The video-watching public will get to vote for their favourite, too. Here are details of the prizes:

As well as a trophy, winners will receive…

First prize: 2000 Singapore dollars
Runner up: 1000 Singapore dollars
People’s choice: 1000 Singapore dollars

We also have a special prize for the top entry from a Singapore school student or school team:

Singapore schools prize: A one-year New Scientist subscription (print & web), a trophy and an invitation to visit the Centre for Quantum Technologies*

*In fact we offer an open invitation to school groups to visit, whether or not they are making winning films. Teachers can contact us to make arrangements. Some of CQT’s researchers even offer projects in quantum physics to students willing to study hard.
